Exemptions Policy

Certified Public and General Accountants UK (CPGA UK) recognizes the value of prior learning and professional achievements. Our exemption policy is designed to acknowledge relevant qualifications while maintaining the integrity and standards of our professional designation.

  1. Exemptions are granted solely based on completed academic or professional qualifications, not on work experience alone.
  2. Each application for exemption is assessed individually based on the specific content, assessment methods, and level of prior qualifications.
  3. The primary purpose of exemptions is to avoid duplication of learning while ensuring all CPGA UK members meet the same high standards of professional competence.
  4. Decisions on exemption applications will be made on case-to-case basis
  5. All exemption decisions are made at the discretion of the CPGA UK Exemptions Committee and are final.
